We had a fantastic private guide for a day long excursion to hike the Samaria Gorge! Daphne provided expertise in how to navigate the challenging 16 km (10 mile) hike from the top to the basin of the gorge. We enjoyed the tremendous beauty of the mountains and learned about the plants, the old village, the kri-kri, and had well-timed stops to refill our water bottles with the natural spring water. Daphne even offered assistance to a hiker who sprained her ankle on the slippery rocks from the fully stocked first aid kit she carried in her backpack. We felt very safe having her with us!
