SBOKOS S.A. is one of the best-established Destination Management Companies of Crete- Greece, having consistently provided a full range of travel-related services to incoming travellers over the past 38 years. The company is based in Hearklion, Crete in it’s own property.
Ketty Sbokos, already a seasoned professional with several years’ experience in the field of tourism and a very solid cultural background, founded the Company in 1974. In the subsequent 22 years, over which her professional career spanned, she came to be regarded as one of the pioneering members of the tourism-related community. Her self-effacing discretion and understated dynamism made her the steadfast supporting pillar of a successful partnership.
The other half of the equation was represented by her husband and major Company share-holder, Chris Sbokos. Naturally extroverted and gifted with a forceful personality he carved his own niche in the field of Hellenic tourism, through his sustained methodical efforts, in several distinct areas of the industry.
He was Founder and President of both the Cretan Union of Tourist Coaches and of Cretan Cruises S.A., Vice-President of the Association of Travel Agents of Crete, and a Board Member of several governing bodies, such as the Hellenic Association of Travel & Tourism Agents (HATTA), the Heraklion Port Organization, the Heraklion Prefecture Committee for the Promotion of Tourism and the Tourism Public Company, equally affiliated to the Prefecture of Heraklion.
Over the years, SBOKOS s.a has been the recipient of several awards in recognition of its manifold contribution to the industry, such as the KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Certificate of Appreciation for outstanding performance in the filed of passenger sales, the Hellenic Federation of Hellenic Tourism Enterprises Award & Hellenic Association of Travel & Tourism Agents for its Contribution to the Progress of Hellenic Tourism.
Continuity at the Company helm is ensured by a high-level team of professionals, who joined the Company ranks in 1992.
